I am drawn to geographically challenging and culturally sensitive environments where context and responsible representation are essential for a balanced story. I am focused on delivering artful documentary storytelling shaped by perspective-altering nuance that creates meaningful human connection and a deeper understanding of what is really going on in our complex and fascinating world. Alongside director and cinematographer Nicky Akehurst, I have developed and produced independent documentary projects in Australia and Southeast Asia. With Salvation: The Battle for Earth’s Wildlife, we are operating in a special zone where rare-access opportunities meet creative filmmaking and real-world impact. My intention is to translate the sense of discovery and realisation that we as a production team experience in the field, to reach and resonate with a wide ranging audience, from the general public through to policymakers.
